Thank you …to our Judges – Kevin Taranto, John Pearce, Trish Joyce, our course builders Jim Brown and Ian Chambers (who also had a course to build in the indoor). Grateful to Gavin Chester, Helen Ashby and the ‘student’ course builders who built the first course in the indoor. Our pencillers Macey Devlin, Melanie Mitchell and James McMahon. Our Marshals Jamie Harding and Indi Lau, along with committee members Maddy Squires, Kelly Richardson, Mum & Dad – thank you.
The day comes together for a reason – that is to support our grassroots (as well the experienced…) riders. Something that Go West Equestrian Events, and Club Inc. are particularly passionate about and have made the focus of our Club. An what an incredible bunch of supportive, committed, polite and team spirited group they were. Parents you should be so proud – they were awesome and we look forward to hosting them back in 20207!
To that end, parents – well done…the day is long, can be stressful, ring times can clash… and many of you stayed around to receive the ribbons, which we truly appreciated. A shared celebration at the end reinforces the community – which we loved seeing. Also there were a number of parents who assisted with poles and course changes – forever grateful, and truly appreciate this effort. No doubt Mums you were treated to a hot bubble bath and dinner waiting for you at home!?
Barastoc sponsored our event again this year and have just advised us that they’ll be back in 2027! We are incredibly proud to have this level of sponsorship – and grateful that they’re able supplied a bag of Calm Performer to our Champions – thank you Barastoc.

I want to thank the weather gods… that makes life and outdoor sport so much easier. And to WPNEC – surfaces were great (or no-one told me otherwise)…
Ribbons! A little late tweak in the number of classes saw us down a set or two. I believe Advance and Stars missed out on their individual rounds ‘ribbons’ – these will be making there way to you.
Each year we learn something new, and make changes to ensure that you and your rider have a safe and successful event. We’re happy to taken on feedback – so drop us a line and we’ll see how we can incorporate this into our program for 2027.
In the meantime we’re downloading the results so the leader board can be updated ASAP.
And we look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming training days or competitions.
