What I love about training days is the diversity of riders that come to our events. Saturday was no exception as our local eventers warmed up for Albury Wodonga Horse Trials and our showjumpers preparing for Aussie Champs. With a height range from 50cm to 120cm we watched the young or newly purchased horses come out for a couple light rounds followed by the seasoned competitors. Ian Chalmers came across from Fish Creek this weekend and set the tone with lovely open rolling courses – he was on hand to offer advise on walking the course, noting he loves the 5, 6, 7 stride lines, riders appreciating his time and engagement. And we were lucky to have local judge Nat Muhor join us on Sunday after her day at Camperdown show.
Although the wind turned up at lunchtime on Saturday and Sunday started with misty rain – nothing could dampen the openly encouraging and supportive atmosphere riders brought with them.
This event marked the last of our training and competition days for 2025. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed running the 3 shows, and look forward to building on these for 2026 – keep an eye out on our calendar! In the meantime we’re busy with ‘behind the scenes’ activities, interviews, educational projects – and of course of line of clothing!
Our website will continue to grow – and we keen to have your input as well – any topics or suggestions – please send our way. Until we see you at our first event in 2026 – safe riding.
